Building Trades

Hands-on learning makes our building trades classes attractive from start to finish. As a part of these project-based experiences, participants gain skills while working alongside one another and our qualified tradesmen. Whether participants have never held a hammer or are more experienced craftsmen, our classes are adapted to craft a firm foundation for a future in construction or handyman areas while learning to work both as a part of a team and individually.  To develop quality work, participants learn safety procedures, refine math skills, and learn universal skills of responsibility and logical thinking while developing an applicable skill set.  Learning to work hard in an encouraging environment helps our participants gain competency that will help them in whatever future careers they hold.

Participants in current and past classes have:

  • framed projects
  • created blueprints
  • worked with concrete
  • installed drywall
  • planned a landscaping project.
